WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University sophomore Jon Stoddard (Duxbury/Duxbury HS) has been named the Golf Rookie of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference following his strong showing in the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional last week.

Playing on the Overbay Resort's Speidel Jones course, Stoddard was fifth among NE-10 golfers and tied for 39th overall in the three-day event. After opening with an 82, he fired back-to-back four-over 75's to finish at 232.

Stoddard, in his first Bentley season, finished with a 77.2 stroke average for nine rounds, seven of which he finished in the seventies.

Stoddard's effort helped Bentley tie for tenth in the Super Regional, including third among East Region teams.
