WALTHAM, Mass. – Following a 2-0 week for the Bentley University Falcons, senior guard Zach Laput (Beacon Falls, Conn./Notre Dame HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Bentley earned a 72-66 win at Southern Connecticut by scoring the game's final 15 points, with Laput accounting for 11 of those. He finished with 30 points, four rebounds and four steals against the Owls. Laput, who played all but 57 seconds in the two games, scored 17 in a 79-70 win at Pace despite attempting only five shots from the field. He also had six rebounds and five assists against the Setters, and climbed from 23rd to 17th on Bentley's all-time scoring list.

In the NCAA Division II statistics, Laput is eighth in total points, 14th in scoring average, 13th in field goals made, 16th in field goal attempts and 22nd in free throw percentage. Among active Division II players, Laput's career numbers rank eighth in scoring average, 15th in three-point percentage, 26th in free throws made and 33rd in total points and free throw percentage.

Laput earned Player of the Week honors three times last season when he was an NABC Division II All-America and the NE10 Player of the Year.

Laput is the third Falcon to receive the honor this season. Kellan Bochenek was recognized on Dec. 20 and Aaron Latham was honored a month earlier.

Bentley, 12-6 overall and 7-4 NE10, will host American International Wednesday at 7:30 pm.
