Mello-Klein Earns Multiple All-East Awards
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University graduate guard Jordan Mello-Klein (Sharon/Thayer Academy), the Most Outstanding Player at both the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Championships and the NCAA Division II East Regional, is a consensus All-East Region honoree.
Mello-Klein was selected to the All-East Region team by both the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association.
Mello-Klein, who led the 25-4 Falcons to a berth in this week's Elite Eight, ranks in the top four in the Northeast-10 in rebounds, assists and steals in addition to scoring 15.1 points per game. He shoots 42 percent from deep with his 75 three-balls a team best.
Mello-Klein, previously recognized as a first-team All-Northeast-10 team member, has been Bentley's top scorer in the six postseason games, averaging 18.2 points as well as nine rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Mello-Klein owns career totals of 1239 points, 683 rebounds, 490 assists and 115 three-pointers. He's the only player in program history to achieve all those marks.
Bentley will take on Northwest Missouri State Tuesday at 1 pm ET in the opening round of the Elite Eight at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.
