Richmond Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior guard Ryan Richmond (Toronto, Ont./Thomson Collegiate) has been named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference after his outstanding performance in a pair of NE10 wins last week.

During the 2-0 week, Richmond averaged 24.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and a steal while shooting 57% overall and making four of seven 3-pointers. He had 23 points in a 105-69 win over Franklin Pierce and 26 points in an 80-61 victory at St. Michael's.

Richmond owns the fourth best overall scoring average in the Northeast-10 (21.9) and his 25.8 average in conference play is an NE10 best. He has shot 52 percent overall and is also giving the Falcons 4.1 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 0.7 steals a game.

Last year, Richmond averaged 22.6 points and earned second-team All-NE10 and All-Conference honors. He finished the season with a school record 45 points against Adelphi.

Richmond and his Bentley teammates return to action Wednesday with a home game against Southern New Hampshire. Both teams are undefeated in the NE10 with the Falcons 6-1 overall and the Penmen 8-0.
