Moore’s Goal Lifts Bentley to 1-0 Win over AIC

WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore Gracie Moore scored with 3:46 left in regulation to lift Bentley to a 1-0 victory over American International on Tuesday night.

Hannah Blomquist got the play started that led to the goal by playing a pass in midfield through to Madison Halas down the right side.

Halas fought past an AIC defender and continued on with the ball before she played a centering pass towards goal that was deflected by another AIC defender. Moore pounced on the bouncing ball and got off a quick shot that beat AIC goalie Taylor Wildes to the near side for the goal.

Bentley was then able to see out the remaining time to secure its fifth win of the season and third in NE10 play.

The Falcons mostly dominated possession and outshot the Yellow Jackets 12-1. Wildes made five saves for AIC and Bentley's Mia Trottie needed just one save for her second shutout of the season.

Moore led the team with three shots on goal.

Bentley (5-4, 3-1 NE10) will be back at home on Saturday at 2:00 pm when they host Molloy on Senior Day.
