Bentley tested by No. 1 East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Bentley Field Hockey team kept pace with the top-ranked team in the nation, but the Falcons ultimately lost on the road at No. East Stroudsburg, 6-0, Sunday afternoon.

The Falcons trailed by just one goal, 1-0, at halftime. Backed by goalkeeper Erin McGuinness, the Bentley defense was up to the challenge. The Warriors fired off 10 shots in the first half, only one of which got through. On the other end of the field, however, the Falcons mustered only one shot.

The Warriors ran away with the game in the third quarter, tacking on four goals during that 15-minute span.

The Falcons return home for a midweek clash against Assumption Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 6 p.m.
