Bentley Field Hockey Awaits NCAA Championship Announcement
WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University Falcons will find out if their season will continue when the field for the 2021 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championships is announced Monday afternoon during a 3 pm selection show on www.NCAA.com.
Three teams will be selected from both the East and Atlantic regions for the championships.
In the latest regional rankings, Bentley was number two in the East, trailing only Assumption University. Saint Anselm College was third, Stonehill College fourth and Adelphi University fifth.
Bentley is currently 14-5 overall. Coach Jessica Spencer's team closed out the regular season with a nine-game winning streak and fell to New Haven in a shootout in the quarterfinals of the Northeast-10 Conference championships.
Bentley will be looking to receive its first NCAA bid since 2012 and 14th all-time. In 2001, the Falcons were the NCAA Division II national champions.
