Ellis Selected 1st-Team All-Northeast-10; Pavano Voted to All-Rookie Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University senior midfielder Tori Ellis (Madison, N.J./Madison HS) has been chosen for the 2016 All-Northeast-10 Conference Field Hockey first team. Also recognized by the conference, with selection to the All-Rookie Team, was Falcon freshman midfielder Sam Pavano (Madison, Conn./Daniel Hand HS).

This is the fourth straight year that Ellis has earned recognition from the Northeast-10. She was the Rookie of the Year in 2013 and was a second-team All-Conference honoree in both 2014 and 2015.

Ellis was second on the team in scoring with six goals and three assists for 15 points. Half of her goals were game-winners and she also had three defensive saves as her contributions came at both ends of the field.

Ellis concluded her career with 11 goals and 15 assists for 37 points, along with six game-winners and 23 defensive saves.

Pavano was Bentley's leading scorer, finishing her rookie season with six goals and four assists for 16 points. That was tied for third most among NE-10 freshmen and tied for fourth best among all Division II freshmen.

Bentley finished the season with a 7-11 record.
