WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University field hockey team has reached its goal of making a $1,000 donation for breast cancer research during the fall of 2015. The funds will go to the National Foundation for Cancer Research.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and the team has been fundraising throughout the month.

"I am so thrilled we reached our goal and need to thank the alumni, the parents and everyone who supported us," said head coach Jessica Spencer. "We had so much help and we are very grateful.  It was truly a team effort and a campaign we will continue each year until a cure is found."
