The 2016 season will be the first as part of the Bentley University coaching staff for Matt Cerins, a 2008 graduate of Assumption College who'll serve as the Falcons' defensive line coach.

Cerins, a native of Manchester, Conn. where he attended East Catholic High School, came to Bentley after spending the 2015 campaign as an offensive intern at Coastal Carolina University.  He was als0 the offensive line coach at Glastonbury (Conn.) High School in 2013 and 2014.

Following his final season as a left tackle at Assumption, Cerins was selected first-team All-Northeast-10, first-team All-ECAC and first-team All-Worcester.

Cerins, 30, resides in Watertown.
