WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University head football coach Alvin Reynolds has announced the first eight players for his 2023 recruiting class. Six are from Massachusetts and there are also ones from both Florida and New Jersey.

The new additions include Everett High School teammates Nick Raymond, a six-foot-three 270-pound tackle, and Giacobbe Ward, a wide receiver.

The other offensive players who will be joining the Falcons are lineman Patryk Borawski (Worcester/St. John's, Shrewsbury) and athlete David Brown (Lynn/St. Mary's HS), who was named to the Super 26 All-State team.

The list of newcomers also includes linebacker Jake Berglund (Burlington/BB&N), defensive lineman Marshall Halfacre (Fair Haven, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven Reg. HS), defensive back Santiago Quiceno (Revere/St. John's Prep) and kicker/punter Andres Van Woerkum (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Pine Crest HS).

"On behalf of our coaching staff, their future teammates and our alumni, I want to welcome these student-athletes to our Bentley University football family," said Reynolds. "We look forward to their involvement in all aspects of the program."

Bentley, in Reynolds' first year as head coach, finished with a 7-3 record last fall.
