Six Bentley Falcons Named to Hampshire Honor Society

WALTHAM, Mass. – Six former Bentley University football players, all members of the Class of 2021, were named to the 2021 Hampshire Honor Society by the National Football Foundation for their success in their classroom during their collegiate careers.

They were long snapper Max Drinon (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Paul's School (N.H.)), offensive linemen Jack Kennedy (Marstons Mills/Barnstable HS) and Josh Steigerwald (Naples, Fla./ defensive backs Adam Parsons (Portsmouth, R.I./Portsmouth HS) and Matt Pennell (Oceanport, N.J./Shore Reg. HS) and tight end Pat Prendergast (Pierrefonds, Que./Loyola/St. Paul's School (N.H.).

Requirements for earning Hampshire Honor Society recognition include achieving a 3.2 cumulative grade point average, completing their eligibility during the 2020 season and being a starter or important reserve.

Bentley's six honorees was tied for the second most nationally in Division II.

Prendergast played in the most games of the six, 27, while Kennedy appeared in 20. Drinan and Steigerwald each saw action in 18, Pennell 16 and Parsons nine.

Majors were economics-finance (Parsons, Pennell), computer information systems (Steigerwald), finance (Prendergast), management (Kennedy) and supply chain management (Drinon).

After capturing the 2019 Northeast-10 championship, Bentley saw its 2020 season cancelled by the pandemic.
