On This Day, 2005: White Throws for 4 TDs as Falcons Soar Past Skyhawks, 34-7

On October 15, 2005, freshman quarterback John White threw four touchdown passes, including three before the halftime break, as Bentley improved to 6-2 with a 34-7 road victory over Stonehill.

White's TD passes covered 32, 67, 6 and 9 yards, with the first three coming in the first half of play. He completed 70 percent of his passes, finishing 19 of 27 for 293 yards and no interceptions.

It was a 7-0 game after the opening stanza, following a 32-yard scoring pass from White to senior wide receiver Kristopher Lake with 5:19 on the clock. It was a short three-play, 36-yard drive after the Skyhawks were forced to punt from their own three.

Bentley broke the game open in the second quarter with 20 points in the final 7:30 after Stonehill evened the tally at 7-7. Lake caught a 67-yarder for his second TD of the afternoon, sophomore tailback J.J. Sullivan finished a six-play drive with a one-yard run, and White teamed up with sophomore Jon Kaczka for a six-yard TD pass and catch. Sullivan's TD followed a 50-yard run by junior Derrick Marsan.

The only scoring of the second half was a nine-yard TD pass from White to sophomore Kyle Goodwin with about two minutes left in the third.

Lake led Bentley's receiving corps with seven catches for 164 yards and Sullivan rushed for 108 yards on 20 carries.
