Hansbury Named Finalist for Northeast-10 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year

WALTHAM, Mass. – Former Bentley University offensive lineman and co-captain Jack Hansbury (Tyngsboro/ Chelmsford HS), who never missed a game during his four years with the Falcons, has been named one of three finalists for the Northeast-10 Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.

The other finalists were Adelphi University men's lacrosse goalkeeper Brendan McDougal and Stonehill College track and cross country runner Alexander Demeule.

The NE10 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year will be announced on Monday, June 3 when the conference holds its annual awards banquet at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

Hansbury, who started every game for Bentley for the third straight season, was previously selected as the recipient of the Northeast-10 Sport Excellence award for football as the conference's premier scholar-athlete in the sport.

Hansbury's list of honors this season has also included earning first-team Academic All-Northeast-10 honors for the third straight year and becoming the third Bentley football player since 2016 to be selected first-team Google Cloud Academic All-America.

Hansbury, who made the President's List following all eight semesters, graduated Summa Cum Laude May 18 with a 3.95 grade point average as a corporate finance and accounting major.
