Biscardi, L. Hardy & Fawehinmi Tabbed as Bentley Captains for Week 9

WALTHAM, Mass.  – Grad student and left guard Matt Biscardi (Holbrook, N.Y./St. Anthony's HS), senior corner Lamar Hardy (Centreville, Va./Westfield HS) and junior defensive back Michael Fawehinmi (Lynn/St. John's Prep) will serve as captains for the Bentley University football team during Saturday's game at Southern Connecticut State University, head coach Bill Kavanaugh announced.

It will be the third game this year that Biscardi will serve as a captain, and the second time for both Hardy and Fawehinmi.

Biscardi, a six-foot-one, 270-pounder who was a full season captain last year, is slated to make his 20th consecutive start for the Falcons on Saturday. He's played in 38 games over the last four seasons, including 36 as a starter.

Hardy had his second interception of the season in last week's 27-7 win over Stonehill. He's been in on a career-high 31 tackles, ranks in the top ten in Division II in passes defended (14) and his two interceptions have been returned for 101 yards.

Fawehinmi, in his first Bentley season after transferring from Wagner, has been a key contributor on special teams for the Falcons. Nine of his 12 tackles have come on kick coverage and he's blocked a pair of punts this season, most recently last week against Stonehill.

Bentley, 5-3 overall and 5-2 Northeast-10, will be seeking its third straight win Saturday.
