B. Hardy, Biscardi & Ford Named Bentley Captains for Week 8

WALTHAM, Mass. – Linebacker Bryan Hardy (Barnstable/Barnstable HS), left guard Matt Biscardi (Holbrook, N.Y./St. Anthony's HS) and punter Tyler Ford (Amherst, N.H./Souhegan HS) will serve as captains for Bentley University's Senior Day game against Stonehill College Saturday afternoon, head coach Bill Kavanaugh announced Friday.

This will be the fourth time this season that Hardy will be a game day captain, the second time for Biscardi and the first for Ford.

Hardy, a standout in the classroom as well as on the field, tops the conference in tackles with his per-game average of 10.9 12th best in Division II. He's had nine or more stops in five straight games, a stretch in which he's averaged 12.2 to push his career total to 287. Hardy, who collected his third career Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Week award on Monday, also leads the team with eight tackles for losses.

Biscardi, a grad student, was one of Bentley's captains last year. He's been a fixture on the Falcons' o-line since 2013 and is scheduled to make his 19th consecutive start on Saturday. The Bentley line has been one of the NE-10's best in terms of protecting the quarterback, allowing only seven sacks.

Ford is fifth in Division II in punting with his average of 44.7 surpassing the school and conference mark of 43.0 that he set in 2015. In last week's 5-3 win at American International, Ford played a key role as he punted a school record 12 times for a 44.9 average, including two inside the ten and the longest punt in program history (73 yards).

Bentley, 4-3 overall and 4-2 NE-10, will enter the game against the Skyhawks tied for third place in the conference.
