Anger, Athy & B. Hardy Named Captains for Today’s Game

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – Right guard Ryan Anger (Worcester, Mass./St. John's HS), senior linebacker Bryan Hardy (Barnstable, Mass./Barnstable HS) and sophomore safety Nick Athy (Holliston, Mass./ Holliston HS) will serve as captains for today's Bentley University football game at LIU Post, head coach Bill Kavanaugh announced.

Anger, a 6-foot-2, 280 pound graduate student, has played in every game for the Falcons since the dawn of the 2013 season and has started every game since Kavanaugh's arrival prior to the 2014 campaign. He spent the last two years at right tackle before returning to right guard this season.

Hardy, who was previously a game captain during week one, is coming off a 15-tackle performance in last week's 41-22 win over Merrimack that boosted the Falcons to 2-1 overall and 2-0 Northeast-10. Bentley's leading tackler with 30, the 2015 second-team All-Northeast-10 honoree is nine tackles away from 250 for his career.

Athy, the first sophomore to earn selection as a game captain, had his first career interception in last week's contest, returning it 20 yards. Last year, half of his ten tackles came on special teams.

Kickoff for today's contest is set for 1 pm.
