Hardy, Biscardi & Reitsch Named Bentley’s Captains for Game 1

WALTHAM, Mass. – Seniors Bryan Hardy (Barnstable/Barnstable HS) and Matt Biscardi (Holbrook, N.Y./St. Anthony's HS), along with junior Michael Reitsch (Rockford, Ill./Guilford HS), will serve as captains for the Bentley University Falcons for Saturday's season-opening football game against visiting West Chester University, head coach Bill Kavanaugh announced. This is the first season the third-year head coach is going with game captains.

Hardy, a linebacker, has been one of the Falcons' premier tacklers in recent seasons, finishing in the top eight in the Northeast-10 in both 2014 and 2015. During those two seasons, he's made 103 and 92, respectively, with a total of 18 for losses. Last year, he was voted both Academic All-NE-10 and second-team All-Conference.

Biscardi, a left guard, will be making his 29th career start when he takes the field against the Golden Rams. He was one of the captains for the Falcons last year.

Reitsch will be the special teams' captain for the Falcons in the opener. He has 11 career tackles on special teams, including eight in 2014 when he tied for the team lead in that category.

Kickoff for Saturday's game is at 12 noon.
