"It's the end of the [school] year and instead of kids running crazy, if I can help them get a job it's an opportunity to put money in their pocket and gain responsibility," he said.

The mission is not new to Seaforth, 33, a former football and basketball player at Lynn Classical High School. It is only a small part of what he does for the city's youth.

He admits that he had some troubles in his teenage years, including skipping school, but came around, thanks to one of his coaches.

"It got me going to school every day, and I just totally bought into it," he said. "From my junior year on, I was on the honor roll."
