Guadagnoli & Kozar Earn Academic All-Northeast-10 Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University seniors Danny Guadagnoli (Framingham/Framingham HS) and Kent Kozar (Fairport, N.Y./McQuaid Jesuit HS) have been selected for the 2013 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference football team. It's the second time that Guadagnoli has earned the honor and a first for Kozar.

Guadagnoli, who plans to return for his final year of eligibility in the fall, set school records for passing yards and total offense in both a season and a game during the 2013 campaign. He was second in the conference in completion percentage, passing yards, passing efficiency and total offense, and was in the top 12 in Division II in both passing yards and total offense.

The 2013 season saw the team captain complete 61 percent of his passes for 3,310 yards and 22 yards, and also run for 335 yards and six scores. He'll begin his final season ranking fourth in program history in total offense (6,324), fifth in passing yards (5,732) and sixth in touchdown passes (38).

Guadagnoli has earned a 3.76 grade point average as an economics-finance major and has been president of Bentley's Economics-Finance Club.

Kozar was one of Guadagnoli's primary targets as he caught 29 passes for 380 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Both of his TD catches, 13 and 18 yards, came in his final career game, a 56-41 win over Saint Anselm. As a junior in 2012, he received the Michael Boyd award as Bentley's defensive MVP.

Also an economics-finance major, Kozar owns a 3.66 GPA. During each of his first seven semesters at Bentley, he was named to either the President's or Dean's List.
