Guadagnoli Named d2football.com Offensive Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Following his outstanding performance in Saturday's 56-41 win over Saint Anselm College, Bentley University senior quarterback Danny Guadagnoli (Framingham/Framingham HS) has been named the National Offensive Player of the Week by d2football.com.

Guadagnoli broke the Bentley single game and season records for both passing yards and total offense, and accounted for six touchdowns, as he completed 30 of 43 for 510 yards, five TDs and no interceptions. He also ran for a go-ahead touchdown and 42 yards for a total of 552 on the day.

The 552 yards broke the mark of 513, set by Ted Larkin against Bryant in 1999, and his 510 passing yards was six more than Marc Eddy had in a 2004 NCAA playoff game against Edinboro. He also broke two of Larkin's season records, finishing with 3,310 passing yards and 3,645 yards of total offense.

Guadagnoli finished second in the Northeast-10 in most passing categories, including passing yards, total offense, attempts (395), completions (241) and completion percentage (.610).

With another year of eligibility remaining, Guadagnoli stands fourth in school history in total offense (6,324), fifth in passing yards (5,732) and completions (411), and sixth in TD passes (38).

Bentley finished the 2013 season with a 6-5 record.
