Rizzuto tabbed NE10 Player of the Week
WALTHAM, Mass. – Steve Rizzuto belted a couple of home runs and drove in eight to earn Northeast-10 Baseball Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Rizzuto went 6-for-7 with a home run and seven RBI during Bentley's doubleheader wins at Saint Rose (May 1). He also drew four walks in one of the games.
The Falcons played at Saint Michael's for the final games of the regular season (May 3-4). There, Rizzuto collected five hits in 16 at-bats, including his ninth home run of the season.
Rizzuto currently leads the Falcons in home runs (9) and RBI (56). His RBI total is tied for the most in the NE10.
Bentley begins is postseason with a NE10 Championship first-round game at Franklin Pierce Tuesday, May 7. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
