Gonzalez, Rizzuto drive in three runs each against SNHU

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley baseball team put up six runs in the final three innings, but Southern New Hampshire came away with a 13-8 conference win Monday afternoon. SNHU rallied for a seven-run third inning, which ultimately proved to be insurmountable.

Steve Rizzuto finished the game 2-for-3 with three RBI, and he scored twice. Rizzuto drove in a run in the fourth inning, and he hit a two-run double in the seventh inning. Monday was Rizzuto's eighth multi-RBI game this spring. He leads the Falcons with 30 RBI this season.

Tyler Gonzalez also drove in three runs against the Penmen, and he collected three hits. Gonzalez hit an RBI single in the sixth inning, and he added a two-run single in the ninth. It was the fourth three-hit game of the season for Gonzalez, and his second three-RBI effort.

Brendan Sencaj went 2-for-4 against the Penmen, and he scored twice. Sencaj, a freshman, is up to nine multi-hit games this spring.

Bentley has a quick turnaround with a doubleheader at St. Rose Wednesday, April 10.
