Falcons drop final game of road trip against Barry

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Bentley baseball team wrapped up its season-opening trip to Florida with an 11-1 loss at Barry Sunday. After committing just one error between the first two games of the season, the Falcons finished with six errors against Barry.

Freshman Brendan Sencaj hit his first-career home run in the fifth inning. His solo shot to lead off the stanza cut the Falcons' deficit to 2-1. However, Barry rallied for four runs in the bottom of the fifth, and added five more in the seventh.

Keegan Antelman and Harper Flint combined to throw 2.2 shutout innings out of the Bentley bullpen. Combined, the two relievers allowed only two hits and didn't issue a walk.

Bentley's next games are in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where the Falcons take on St. Thomas Aquinas (Feb. 23), Bridgeport (Feb. 24), and Mercy (Feb. 25).
