RINDGE, N.H. – A game-ending sacrifice fly by sophomore second baseman Randy Flores (Brooklyn, N.Y.) produced the tie-breaking run and gave Franklin Pierce University a come-from-behind 4-3 win over Bentley University and a sweep of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader Saturday afternoon at Pappas Field. Game 1 went to the Ravens by a count of 7-4.

Bentley struck first in the nightcap and took a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning. In the third, junior right fielder Tim Zupkus (Middlebury, Conn./ Holy Cross HS) and junior third baseman Eddy Beauregard (Paxton, Mass./ Wachusett Reg. HS) each had RBI singles to give the Falcons the advantage.

Franklin Pierce (12-5, 3-0 NE10) more than countered in the fifth, using four hits and a walk to score three runs.

Bentley (5-13, 0-3 NE10) evened the game in the sixth on a home run to right by junior third baseman Steve Rizzuto (Belmont, Mass./Belmont HS).

Before Flores ended the game, Franklin Pierce used an error, a sacrifice and a bunt single to set the table.
