This Day in Bentley History - April 21, 1969: DeFelice Coaches First Game as Bentley Debuts With Win

On this date in 1969, the Bentley baseball team played its first ever game with Bob DeFelice at the helm, just as he's been for every game since. It was a positive start with the Falcons prevailing over Boston State by a count of 3-1.

Left fielder Geter Hicks led off and was followed in DeFelice's first starting lineup by CF Jim Stifel, 3B Chris Beltrami, SS Al Fraser, 1B Ed Foti, RF Garry Keil, C Wayne McRae, 2B Lee Jensen and P Bruce Svendsen.

Bentley went on to post a 9-4 record during its debut season.
