WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior right-hander Jack Burke (Reading/St. John's Prep) was named the Baseball Pitcher of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference after his outstanding performance this past Friday night in Florida.

Burke earned a three-inning save in the Falcons' 4-3 win at Rollins. He retired the first seven batters he faced and allowed only two hits in three scoreless innings. Burke needed only 26 pitches with 16 of those strikes.

It was the second appearance of the season for Burke, who pitched one-and-two-thirds innings against number one-ranked Tampa Jan. 30.

Last year, Burke appeared in ten games for the Falcons, all but one in relief, and had a 3.72 ERA in games against conference opponents.

Bentley, 1-5, will be back in Florida Feb. 27-28 for a three-game series with Saint Anselm College.
