Track and Field Heads to UMass Lowell for George Davis Invitational

WALTHAM, Mass. – The track and field teams head to UMass Lowell on Saturday for the George Davis Invitational.

Just two meets remain before the Northeast 10 Outdoor Championships on May 3 and 4, held in New Haven, Connecticut.

On the women's side Caitlin Burmester is coming off running a career best time in the mile last week at the Penmen Relays. On Saturday, she will run the 400 and 1500 races. Natalia Moulding will join Burmester in the 1500.

The 800 meter race will feature Leesil Gilbert and Gracie Pointer.

Brooke Neri and Molly Capece will run the 3000.

In the sprints, the Falcons will be represented by HaiLian Rowan in the 200. Hannah Croteau is set for the 100 meter hurdles.

In the field events, Adriana Minasian will compete in the high jump and shot put. Mia Bonner is in the long jump and triple jump and Emma Massih is in the discus and hammer. Amanda Fawcett is in the long jump, Liz DeVarney is in the shot put and Caitlin Byrne is set for the discus.

On the men's side, Hayden MacArthur is coming off winning the one mile last weekend at the Penmen Relays. This weekend he will run the 800. Nathan Carrillo, Matt Chicko, Finn Power and Trevor Waldstein will join the 800.

In the 1500, Coop Caiozzo, Sam Capobianco and Rocco Bueti are entered.

The Falcons have two relay teams entered in the 4x100 and 4x400. The 4x100 team finished second last weekend, with Quinn Riesenberg, Ryan Dennehy and Sam Balsis running again on Saturday.

Balsis  and Evan Bean are set for the 400 hurdles.

A number of Falcons will run the 100 meter dash, including Dennehy, Riesenberg, Kenan Fong, Kaleb Hicks and Jared Podrazik.

In the field events, Nick Dadasis and Nick Luther are set for the javelin and Dillon Pann for the discus and hammer.
