Golfer Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS), swimmer Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Mahoney HS) and hockey standout Kyle Schmidt (Menomonee Falls, Wisc. /Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) were recently honored as the top senior-athletes in Bentley University’s Class of 2018.

Eight Bentley University student-athletes, including three members of the Class of 2018, were recently chosen for Academic All-Northeast-10 honors in swimming and diving. No other conference institution had more than four swimmers and divers earn Academic All-Conference honors in swimming.

In her final career dual meet, Bentley University senior captain Emily Niemiec (Meriden, Conn./Francis T. Maloney HS) posted two individual victories and was part of two winning relays to help the Falcons to a 221-67 win over Bridgewater State University in women’s college swimming Wednesday evening at the Dr. Mary Jo Moriarty Pool.

Bentley University seniors Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) and Juan Quiroga (Bogota, Colombia) have been selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Swimmer and Men’s Diver of the Week, respectively, following their outstanding performances last week. In addition, junior Melissa Viator (Lubbock, Texas/Lubbock HS) was recognized as CollegeSwimming.com’s Northeast-10 Women’s Swimmer of the Week.
