Burmester Receives Academic All-Northeast-10 Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University sophomore Caitlin Burmester (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin HS) has been selected for the Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference women's cross country team after excelling in the classroom and having a strong fall athletically.

Burmester was Bentley's top runner in every meet for the second straight year with her accomplishments including placing 27th in the Northeast-10 Championships (23:33.7) and 31st in the NCAA Division II East Regional (23:33.7). She improved on her freshman year finishes by four places in the NE10's and 13 in the regional.

Late last week indoors, Burmester earned All-New England accolades by finishing seventh in the 800 meters at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championships at the Track at New Balance.

Burmester also gets it done in the classroom, having achieved a sensational 3.98 grade point average while majoring in both accountancy and liberal studies.
