WALTHAM, Mass. – They're champions on and off the court. Four members of the Bentley volleyball team earned Academic All-District from College Sports Communicators (CSC).

Elizabeth Blinn, Ingrid Murphy, Natalie Thom, and Ellie Wheeler were each recognized for their academic prowess. The Falcon quartet was also vital to the program's historic Elite-8 run in 2023. Bentley won the NCAA D-II East Regional Championship for the first time in program history this season.

Overall, the Falcons finished 25-7 this season. Bentley beat Daemen in the East Regional title game in Garden City, N.Y. The Falcons then traveled to Pittsburgh for the program's first-ever Elite-8 appearance, where Bentley came up short against #1 Tampa.

Murphy and Wheeler were both named to the All-Northeast-10 First Team in 2023, and the duo received All-Region Honorable Mention from the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

Murphy and Wheeler were also CSC Academic All-District in 2022. Student-athletes must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA to qualify.
