Volleyball Looks to Extend Winning Streak Tuesday at Franklin Pierce

WALTHAM, Mass. – Volleyball will look to run its winning streak to eight matches on Tuesday night when they visit Franklin Pierce. It's the first of two matches on the road this week with a trip to Saint Michael's on Saturday to follow.

 

Streak at seven

Bentley extended its winning streak to seven and started its NE10 schedule 2-0 with wins over Southern New Hampshire and Saint Anselm last week. Both were 3-1 victories.

The Falcons go into Tuesday's game with an 11-3 record. Only one of those 11 victories has been in five sets. Six of the wins have been sweeps and four have been 3-1.

 

Career high for Thom

Setter Natalie Thom set a career high with 34 assists in Saturday's win over Saint Anselm. She had 24 assists in a 3-1 victory at Southern New Hampshire on Sept. 26. Thom averaged 7.25 assists per set combined for the two matches.

She ranks 12th in the NE10 in assists per set (5.41).

 

Block party

Elizabeth Blinn is second in the conference in blocks per set (1.29). Her season high is seven block assists against New Haven (Sept. 8).

 

Murphy named to Honor Roll

Ingrid Murphy was named to the NE10 Weekly Honor on Monday. She had 26 kills and 24 digs combined in the two matches last week. She had 11 kills and 12 digs in the win at SNHU. She followed up with 15 kills and 12 digs in Saturday's 3-1 victory over Saint Anselm. 

Murphy is 13th in the NE10 in kills per set (2.71) and 16th in digs per set (3.10)
