Volleyball Tops Southern New Hampshire 3-1 for 6th Straight Win

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Bentley volleyball defeated Southern New Hampshire 3-1 on Tuesday night in first Northeast-10 match of the season. The win extended the team's winning streak to six matches.

Caitlin Wunder led the way with 13 kills and was efficient in doing so with a .423 hitting percentage.

Ingrid Murphy notched 11 kills and Rachel Vitko had nine.

Bentley won the first set 25-21. In the second set they were on fire offensively with a .406 hitting percentage. The set was back-and-forth in the early going with Bentley leading 15-14. But they closed the set on a 10-5 run and clinched it with a kill by Vitko on the final point to win it 25-19.

The Penmen staved off a sweep by winning the third set 25-17 but Bentley closed the match out in the fourth set. After the teams split the first 20 points and the score was tied 10-10, the Falcons won 15 of the final 20 points to take it 25-15.

Natalie Thom had 24 assists in the win and Elliet Manning had 16. Elizabeth Blinn had four block assists.

Bentley (10-3, 1-0 NE10) is back at home on Saturday against Saint Anselm.
