Parker Tabbed as NE10 Player of the Week for the 2nd Time

WALTHAM, Mass. – For the second time this season, Bentley University graduate student Amanda Parker (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.

Parker, a team captain and a Magna Cum Laude graduate this past May, earned the honor for her performance in conference victories over Southern New Hampshire and Saint Anselm. In the two matches, she totaled 15 kills, 41 assists, 31 digs, 9 blocks and 21 points while hitting .250. Her averages included 1.88 kills, 5.13 assists, 3.88 digs, 1.13 blocks and 2.69 points in an outstanding all-around effort.

Parker's week included her second triple-double of the season as she led Bentley to a five-set win over SNHU with 11 kills, 25 assists, 4 blocks, 17 digs, a .370 hitting percentage and 14.5 points.

For the season, the setter/opposite hitter is averaging 1.77 kills, 4.66 assists, 2.49 digs, 0.74 blocks and 2.54 points. Parker leads the 11-4 Falcons in assists, blocks and hitting percentage.

This fall, Parker has transitioned into playing a 6-2 offense after serving as the team's full-time setter in 2021.

Bentley, 3-0 in NE10 matches, will host Franklin Pierce Tuesday at 7 pm.
