Ambroult & Burmester Post Top-Four Finishes at Northeast-10 Championships

MANCHESTER, N.H. – During day two of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at Southern New Hampshire University Saturday, Bentley University received top-four performances from junior Lucy Ambroult (Holbrook, Mass./Holbrook HS) and sophomore Caitlin Burmester (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin HS).

Ambroult, who was the runner-up in the long jump Friday, finished third in the 100 meters with a wind-aided time of 12.26 seconds. That bettered the school record of 12.40 she achieved in the prelims but will not count as a new mark due to the wind factor.

Burmester matched her fourth-place finish in the 1500 during the 800 on Saturday. Her time of 2:18.83 was nearly two seconds faster than the 2:20.61 she ran in the prelims when she was also fourth.

In the high jump, senior Hannah Greene (Weston, Conn./Weston HS) matched her personal best of 5 feet, 1.75 inches while placing fifth among 15. Two places behind her was junior Adriana Minasian (Wakefield, Mass./Wakefield HS), who improved on her PR by nearly three inches with a 4'11.75". That also elevated her to third on Bentley's all-time list.

Bentley finished the ten-team championships in eighth place with 33.75 points.

Next weekend, Bentley will participate in the New England Championships at Northeastern University's Solomon Track in Dedham.
