Ambroult Takes 1st in 100 at Stonehill Skyhawk Invitational

EASTON, Mass. – A week after breaking the school record in the 100 meters, Bentley University junior Lucy Ambroult (Holbrook/Holbrook HS) finished first in the event at the Stonehill Skyhawk Invitational Saturday at W.B. Moore Stadium.

Ambroult finished in 12.57 seconds, besting runner-up Jahaida Gabriel of Merrimack by .07 seconds. Also in the 100, Falcon freshman HaiLian Rowan (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland HS) was sixth with her 12.96 a new personal best by seven-hundredths of a second.

Sophomore Caitlin Burmester (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin HS) continued her string of strong performances by placing second of 18 in the 800. With her 2:17.99 a PR by .09 seconds, she became the sixth in program history to break 2:18 and moved to fifth on the Northeast-10 Conference performance list.

Junior Adriana Minasian (Wakefield/Wakefield HS) was sixth in the triple jump with her distance of 32 feet, 11.25 inches a PR by 5.5 inches and good for 11th on Bentley's all-time list. She also matched her outdoor best in the high jump, clearing 4'9".

Senior Audrey Christo (Belmont/Belmont HS) ran the 1500 in 4:58.86 to finish 12th among 39 competitors. Also in the 1500, sophomore Brooke Neri (Westbrook, Conn./Westbrook HS) bettered her previous best by 6.72 seconds with a 5:22.93.

Next weekend, Bentley will be at Southern New Hampshire University for the Northeast-10 Championships.
