Ambroult Has Strong Day During BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – Bentley University junior Lucy Ambroult (Holbrook/Holbrook HS) was the top performer for the Bentley University women's indoor track team Friday during the David Hemery Invitational at Boston University.

Ambroult was 11th among a 25-competitor field in the long jump, and first among Division II competitors, with her leap of 18 feet, one-quarter inch. That was just one-and-a-quarter inches shy of her personal best, which ranks second in program history and fourth on the Northeast-10 Conference performance list.

Ambroult also ran the 60 meter dash in 8.18 seconds, fifth best among Division II student-athletes in the predominantly Division I meet.

Senior Hannah Greene (Weston, Conn./Weston HS) moved to ninth on Bentley's all-time list in the 200 meters with a 27.01. PRs were also achieved in the 200 by freshmen HaiLian Rowan (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland HS) (28.15) and Hannah Croteau (Franklin, N.H./Franklin HS) (29.12).

Another freshman, Sophia Dearcop (Pittsford, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy HS), bettered her personal best in the 400 by 2.31 seconds with a 1:06.94.

Bentley's next action will be the Northeast-10 Championships at The Track at New Balance Thursday and Friday.
