Ambroult Selected as Northeast-10 Women’s Track Athlete of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University junior Lucy Ambroult (Holbrook/Holbrook HS) has been named the Women's Track Athlete of the Week after her record-breaking performance during Saturday's Beacon Invitational at the Track at New Balance.

Ambroult opened her junior year by twice breaking the school record in the 60 meter dash. She ran the prelims in exactly eight seconds, bettering the mark Stephanie Mattson posted in 2017 by four-hundredths of a second, and improved on that with a 7.97 in the finals. That was good for fourth in a field of 53 and she trailed only three Division I athletes.

Ambroult also finished seventh among 14 competitors in the long jump after clearing 17 feet, 0.75 inches.

Her sophomore year included finishing third in the long jump at the indoor Northeast-10 Championships as well as fifth at the outdoor NE10's and sixth at the outdoor New Englands.

On Bentley's career indoor lists, Ambroult is third in the 55 meters (7.52), third in the long jump (17'11.5") and sixth in the 200 (26.75).

Bentley's next meet is the Reggie Poyau Invitational Jan. 14 at Brandeis University.
