Bentley Places 3 on Academic All-Northeast-10 Track Teams

WALTHAM, Mass. – Three members of the Bentley University outdoor track and field teams were accorded 2022 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference honors for their performance in the classroom and on the track.

Chase Davies (Marblehead/Marblehead HS) was Bentley's representative on the women's outdoor track team while the men's honorees included Jack Deehan (Westwood/Westwood HS) and Derek Pittorino (Westborough/Westborough HS). Davies and Pittorino each graduated Cum Laude last month while Deehan is coming off his junior year.

Davies, previously selected for CoSIDA Academic All-District honors, was Bentley's 2022 Outstanding Female Senior Athlete as well as the team captain. She was the NE10 runner-up in the heptathlon with a school record 3,953 points and broke the school record in the 100 meter hurdles three times during the season, lowering it to 14.64 seconds.

Pittorino, a two-year captain for the men's team, finished fourth in the steeplechase during the Northeast-10 Championships with a 10:30.31. He was third in the same event in the Penmen Relays and was fifth in the steeple at the Bridgewater Bears Invitational.

Deehan was fifth in the 800 at the NE10's as well as a member of the Falcons' 4x800 relay team that was also fifth. He placed 21st in the 800 at the New Englands (1:56.17) and owns the fifth best 800 time by a Bentley runner in the last ten seasons.

Pittorino and Deehan are both economics-finance major while Davies majored in management.
