Davies Selected for CoSIDA Academic All-District 1 Honors

WALTHAM, Mass. – Recent Bentley University graduate Chase Davies (Marblehead/ Marblehead HS) has been selected for the CoSIDA NCAA Division II Women's Track and Cross Country Academic All-District 1 team by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Davies, Bentley's 2021-22 Outstanding Female Senior Athlete, had an outstanding final collegiate season, one that included breaking multiple school records.  That list included the pentathlon, 55 meter hurdles and 60 hurdles indoors as well as the heptathlon and the 100 hurdles outdoors.

During the Northeast-10 Outdoor Track championships last month, Davies was the runner-up in the heptathlon and fifth in the 100 hurdles. Indoors, the team captain placed second in the pentathlon and was sixth in the 60 hurdles.

In the TFRRS East Region rankings for this spring, the 2021 Northeast-10 heptathlon champion ranks third in that event and ninth in the 100 hurdles.

Davies, who began her collegiate career at St. Lawrence, also exceeded in the classroom as a management major and graduated Cum Laude.

Davies will advance to the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America® consideration.
