Ambroult Accounts for Two of Bentley’s Five Wins during SNHU Last Chance Qualifier

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Freshman Lucy Ambroult (Holbrook, Mass./Holbrook GS) accounted for two of the five victories earned by the Bentley University women's track and field team during Saturday's Southern New Hampshire University Last Chance Conference Qualifier.

Ambroult improved on her personal best by a quarter-inch by finishing first among eight competitors in the long jump with a distance of 17 feet, 8.25 inches. She was also first of nine in the 100 with a winning time of 13.26 seconds.

Junior Chase Davies (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead HS) gained a win in the 100 hurdles with her 15.57 bettering her previous best by eight-hundredths of a second. With a 15'9.75" in the long jump, she finished third among eight competitors.

Freshman Angie Grabmeier (Hopkinton, Mass./Hopkinton HS) improved on her career bests in the long jump by four-and-a-quarter inches and in the triple jump by one-and-three quarters inches. She was first of five in the former after posting a 36'3" jump and second of eight in the long jump with a 16'7.25".

Bentley's other winning effort came from sophomore Hannah Greene (Weston, Conn./Weston HS), who cleared 4'10.25" in the high jump.

Junior Toyosi Akindosi (Laurel, Md./Reservoir HS) was second of five in the 200 (29.35) and improved on her PR in the 100 with a time of 14.18 seconds.

In her outdoor debut, sophomore Audrey Christo (Belmont, Mass./Belmont HS) was fourth of 13 in the 1500 after reaching the finish line in 5:15.04.

In the team standings, Bentley was second of among four teams. The host Penmen collected a meet-best 231.5 points with the Falcons following with 125.5.

After closing out the regular season, Bentley will be in Springfield at American International Thursday and Friday for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.
