Romagnano and LeSage Selected to CSC Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Team
WALTHAM, Mass. – Senior Makena Romagnano (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) and junior Remi LeSage (Sarasota, Fla./IMG) were selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team for Division II.
The 2023 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Student-athletes are recognized in four divisions, NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 1.
Romagnano is a three-year team captain and the team's No. 1 singles player the last two seasons.
A double major in marketing and earth, environment, and global sustainability, she earned the NE10 Academic Excellence Award winner for the spring semester of 2022 for a having a 4.0 GPA.
Romagnano is also heavily involved in campus activities and is the President of Bentley's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for 2022-23.
LeSage led Bentley in singles wins this season and is majoring in computer information systems. She's earned NE10 Academic Distinction five semesters in a row and was an ITA Scholar-Athlete in 2021.
