Women’s Tennis Earns 7-0 Senior Day Victory over Saint Michael’s

WALTHAM, Mass. – Seniors Anna Higgins (Andover, Mass./Andover) and Makena Romagnano (New Albany, Ohio/New Albany) each won in both singles and doubles to lead the Bentley women's tennis team to a 7-0, Senior Day victory over Saint Michael's on Sunday.

Romagnano and Higgins combined for a win in No. 1 doubles, 6-2 over Bree Cotroneo and Ava Albis.

In singles, Romagnano was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Albis in the No. 1 match for her second victory of the day. Higgins picked up her second point of the day with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Liberty Jackson in the No. 6 match.

The other doubles matches saw Libby Keefe (Lowell, Mass./Lowell Catholic) and Adriana Hiraldo (San Juan, P.R.) defeat Emma Posada and Natalle Meiler 6-0 in No. 2, and freshman Taylor Morris (North Haven, Conn./North Haven) and sophomore Bisma Shaikh (East Weymouth, Mass./Weymouth) defeat Molly Gannon and Emma Tagliaferro 6-3, in the No. 3 match.

The other action in singles saw Hiraldo get the better of Cotroneo in No. 2, 6-3, 6-2. Remi LeSage (Sarasota, Fla./IMG) defeated Meiler 6-2, 6-1 in No. 3 and Keefe knocked off Gannon 6-2, 6-0 in No. 4. Sophomore Chloe Arsenault (Rye, N.H./Portsmouth) earned a 6-0, 6-0 over Tagliaferro in the No. 5 match.

The win improved Bentley's record to 2-3 in the NE10. The team's next match is Tuesday at New Haven.
