Getting to Know Women's Tennis Player Cindy Luo

Getting to Know Bentley women's tennis player Cindy Luo. From Stamford, Connecticut, Cindy is a sophomore on the Bentley women's tennis team. She is majoring in marketing, with minors in management and psychology

At what age did you begin playing tennis?

I started playing tennis when I was 14 years old. I also played volleyball when I was growing up.   

Who was your favorite athlete growing up, and who is your favorite athlete now?

I really liked watching Serena Williams growing up, now I have been watching Naomi Osaka. 

What is the most memorable sporting event that you have attended?

The US Open tennis tournament in 2017.  

What is your favorite place that you have traveled to?

San Diego, California.

What is your pre and post match meal of choice?

I don't like to eat before a match, but I usually have a banana with me in case I get hungry. Post-match I like to eat something that is carb-heavy such as pasta or rice.  

Why did you choose to come to Bentley?

I chose Bentley because I want to surround myself with people that also have a passion for business. Additionally, I like the general business classes that students are required to take at Bentley. I think being exposed to different focuses within Business really helped me determine what I want to pursue further in my Bentley career.    

What is your most memorable moment of your Bentley career so far?

Being a part of Alpha Kappa Psi was definitely an experience that I will never forget in my Bentley Career. 

What have you been doing during this shutdown to stay busy?

I have been able to draw and paint more which is what I used to do a lot before college. Now that I have more time, I am able to spend time working on new pieces.
