Bentley Falls To No. 25 Brandeis 8-1
WALTHAM, Mass. – In a matchup of Waltham rivals Bentley and Brandeis, the 25th-ranked Judges defeated the Falcons 8-1 on Thursday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis.
Brandeis (8-1) won all three doubles matches by scores of 8-1. Bentley (3-7) got its point when junior Katie Van Gilst (Harwinton, Conn./Lewis S. Mills) defeated freshman Dylan Sclesinger 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 in No. 5 singles. The Judges clinched the match when sophomore Alexa Katz won in No. 4 singles in straight sets.
The Falcons' next match is on Monday when they host AIC for their first Northeast-10 match of the spring.
