WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The Bentley University women's tennis team played its long-delayed Northeast-10 opener on Wednesday and came away with a 9-0 win at New Haven.

Four players won in both singles and doubles, junior Paulina Sotomayor (San Antonio, Texas/Ronald Reagan), senior Kara Murphy (Worcester, Pa./Methacton), junior Rachael Litton (Burlington, Ontario/Nelson), senior Brittany Harbert (Boxford, Mass./Masconomet) and freshman Melanie Scott (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug).

Sotomayor defeated Lindsey Conley in number one singles 6-2, 6-4, and Murphy and Litton each won without dropping a game in number two and three singles.

Bentley is back in action on Oct. 13 at Assumption.
