Hapkiewicz Swims 1650 Free and Almog Competes in 1 Meter Dive at NCAA Championships

GENEVA, Ohio – Emma Hapkiewicz and Hilla Almog wrapped up stellar 2023-24 seasons on Saturday on the final day competition at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

Hapkiewicz swam the 1650 free and Almog competed in the 1 meter dive.

Hapkiewicz finished in 17:18.11 to place 27th. This was the second straight season she swam the 1650 at the NCAAs. She swam the 100 free on Thursday and the 500 on Friday to mark the second straight year she swam all three distance events at the NCAAs.

Earlier in the season Hapkiewicz won gold at the NE10 Championships in the 1650 for the third straight year and was Swimmer of the Meet for a second straight year.

Almog posted a score of 356.95 in the preliminary round to come in 19th in the prelims.

On Thursday she was named a second team All-America in the 3 meter.

She wraps up a season where she won gold at the NE10 Championships in both the 1 and 3 meter and was named Diver of the Meet.
