Montanari & 200 Medley Relay Win Silver, Lang Gets Bronze on Day Three of Northeast 10 Championship

WORCESTER, Mass. – Bella Montanari won a silver medal in the 100 yard breaststroke and swam the anchor leg for the 200 medley relay team that took silver on day three of the Northeast 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Championship.

As a team the Falcons will go into the final day on Sunday in second place with 523.5 points. Southern Connecticut is in first place with 720.5.

Montanari's time in the 100 breaststroke was 1:06.39, a personal best, and was just .59 seconds behind Adelphi's Savina Villani in first place.

Skyla Lang tied for tied for third place for a bronze medal with a season best time in this event. Incredibly, she and Southern Connecticut's Allyson Quitos touched the wall with the same time of 1:06.45.

Emily Blatt was also in the finals for the Falcons, and she came in 6th with a time of 1:07.59.

The 200 medley team was comprised of Jordan Nuzback, Blatt, Caroline Ubert and Montanari.

They touched the wall in 1:48.05 to claim silver. Nuzback swam 27.61 in the opening backstroke leg, followed by Blatt in the breaststroke, Ubert in the butterfly and Montanari in the final freestyle leg.

The first finals race of the evening session was the 400 IM. Grace Motisi was 5th with a time of 4:45.54, which was her season best so far.

The 100 butterfly had two Falcons in the top-eight. Ubert was 5th at 58.43, her best time as a Falcon. Nuzback was 7th at 59.49.

The 100 backstroke finals saw Brydie Olofson swim a personal best of 1:00.50 and finish 7th.

The final day of the NE10 Championship is on Sunday with five individual finals, the 3-meter diving and the 400 freestyle relay on tap.
