Falcons Claim Another Victory, 117-83 over Roger Williams

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley improved to 7-2 in dual meets with a 117-83 victory over Roger Williams on Thursday night at the Dana Center.

The Falcons claimed the win in the first of three straight meets they have at home in eight days.

Freshman Skyla Lang won two events, the 200 breaststroke and 400 IM, and also swam the anchor for the victorious 400 medley relay team.

That medley relay team kicked off the meet with a win, with a time of 4:09.86. Jordan Nuzback led off and was followed by Emily Blatt, Caroline Ubert and Lang.

Next up was the 1000 free, which senior Emma Hapkiewicz won with a time of 10:51.47. Falcons Grace Motisi and Rachel Thilow claimed the second and third place spots.

Jordan Nuzback won the 200 free with a time of 2:00.34, not far off from her season best time set at Saint Michael's last week. Brydie Olofson was second with a time of 2:06.59.

The next race saw Bella Montanari sprint to victory in the 50 free with a time of 25.21, edging out RWU's Gabby Carr and Bentley's Cleo Zhou.

Lang's second win of the meet came in the 400 IM. Her time of 4:42.64 was more than 11 seconds better than RWU's Kate Wieler in second. Lang's time was .14 off her season best, set back in November against Assumption.

After the 400 IM, Hilla Almog won the first of the two diving events with a score of 190.13 and teammate Rishika Moorthy was in second.

The 200 fly was won by Ubert by almost nine seconds. Her time of 2:14.77 saw her easily touch first ahead of RWU's Kallie Fournier.

The 100 free saw Bentley swimmers finish in the top-four spots. Nuzback won it in 55.06 and Bella Montanari was close behind at 55.66. Zhou was third (57.88) and Emily Blatt was fourth (57.89).

To close out the meet Grace Motisi won the 500 free by almost 14 seconds with a time of 5:27.87 and Almog won the second diving event with a score of 294.53.

The Falcons next host Babson on Sunday for its Senior Day Meet. The action gets underway at 1:00 PM.
