Swimming and Diving Ready for Assumption on Sunday

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley swimming and diving team welcomes in Assumption to the Dana Center pool on Sunday. The meet gets underway at 1:00 PM.

The women's squad outpointed Saint Rose 138-74 at the Dana Center last Sunday.

Senior Emma Hapkiewicz won her second straight NE10 Women's Swimmer of the Week award after her swims against the Golden Knights. She won the 200 free in 2:02.31, more than four seconds ahead of the second-place swimmer. She also won the 500 free in 5:20.16, pacing the field by more than nine seconds.

Junior Hilla Almog was crowned the NE10 Diver of the Week. She easily outpointed Saint Rose in the one-meter dive with a score of 263.85, and she won the three-meter with a score of 276.52.

Those were just some of the standout performances for the Falcons.

Jordan Nuzback took the 200 IM with a time of 2:15.65 to finish first by almost five seconds.

She later won the 100 free in 55.45.

Caroline Ubert was victorious in the 100 fly with a time of 1:01.33. Brydie Olofson was first in the 100 backstroke swim in 1:04.76.

After Sunday, Bentley won't have another home meet until mid-January. Up next they head to Brandeis (Nov. 10) and Keene State (Nov. 18), followed by the WPI Gompei Invitational from Dec. 1-3.
